Harvest Monday, 18th June 2012

Hi there! It's been 2 months since I updated this blog. My apple tree was filled with flowers in Spring and they have produced lots of apples. The tree is 2.5 years old and it's of Golden Dorsett variety. We have been steadily harvesting apples for the past few weeks. Some of the apples were eaten by birds/bugs and I feel very sad for throwing them away. I am making milk shakes and it tastes divine on a hot day!
Here is the lettuce I harvested last week, tastes so good in salad.
Thanks to Daphne's Dandelions for hosting Harvest Monday!

  1. U know what? I harvested(!) hand full of cherry tomatoes! :) :)

Apples look delicious! No matter what, Backyard veggies always taste good!

  2. I've never had an apple milk shake, but it sounds delicious with fresh, juicy apples.

  3. Wow, apples in June, that's incredible. We won't see fresh apples until October!

  4. Wow..beautiful apples!:)

  5. wow apples and lettuce in June! They look yummy! I use the cores, peels and bad apples to make vinegar.
