My tomato plants are still hanging in there, about 50 tomatoes harvested last week. I really want to clean the area and prepare for the next season. I will wait till the end of Feb for the green tomatoes to ripen and then start the cleaning process.
That's really interesting - how long have your plants been growing for? I reckon I should be able to get tomatoes to last longer in my garden (in Melbourne Australia) but they always seem to die off before winter. I'm thinking of trying later plantings.
Thanks all. This winter is very mild in SoCal and the plants are still producing flowers. Some of the leaves at the bottom has turned brown but the tops are green and healthy.
Zone 10, are able to garden year round? Lovely tomato harvest.
ReplyDelete:) happy harvesting!
ReplyDeletelovely tomatoes! I have one in the greenhouse that has managed to live over winter and is even putting out some flowers....
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those tomatoes as long as you can. Those of us in colder areas are Jonesing for garden ripe tomatoes!
